Data acquisition with the Cyto Study Manager
The Cyto Study Manager removes the need to copy and paste data from one program to another. Data acquisition systems such as Comet Assay IV are fully integrated with the Cyto Study Manager so your results are automatically collected by the system. This automatic process removes the need for long-winded, error-prone data transfer steps.
For micronucleus, electronic tally counters put data directly into the Cyto Study Manager database, avoiding the need for a manual data transcription step.
The Cyto Study Manager is able to determine which data belongs to which experimental sample, even if the samples have been coded to aid 'blind' scoring and avoid experimental bias. The information within the Cyto Study Manager is all stored within a secure Oracle database.
Remove bias with automatic sample coding and decoding
All samples to be analysed are listed within the scoring screen, which can be accessed only by those assigned as scorers of a particular test. Every slide is coded so that the scorer is 'blind' to the origin of the sample. Scorers are blocked from the experiment setup so cannot see any experiment-specific information.
During the scoring process, the system presents the scorer with a list of coded samples. They choose the sample they are going to score next and the scoring program is launched automatically. The scorer does not need to know any details about the sample they are scoring as all this information is handled invisibly by the Cyto Study Manager.
Although the scorer is blinded to sample information, the Cyto Study Manager stores data against the appropriate sample automatically in real time so study directors can review, approve and reject data during the scoring process as well as afterwards.
The sample coding mechanism is completely customisable so codes can be generated to match with your current approach.
