What is the Cyto Study Manager?
The Cyto Study Manager is a software system that integrates all your data acquisition, reporting and management needs into one neat little package.
- Experiment design
- Sample coding and decoding
- Data acquisition
- Reporting and statistics
- Auditing and user control
- Archiving and historical data
Why do I need it?
The Cyto Study Manager has been designed to integrate all your comet and micronucleus data management processes into one simple, easy-to-use system that can be accessed securely from the laboratory and the office via your organisation's own internal network.
Data acquisition and scoring systems are fully integrated with the system, transferring data straight from programs such as Comet Assay IV. Sample coding and decoding is automatically managed from within the program, saving time and ensuring data integrity.
All your reports can be generated from the within the system and automatically combined into your final study report. Reports can include sample coding/decoding information, results tables, historical data ranges, audit information and more.
And because all of this is achieved within one system, there is no risk of transcription errors, no import/export, no file transfers and no copy and paste.
How do I design my studies and experiments?
The Cyto Study Manager lets you perform studies on multiple test items, each of which can be used in any number of experiments. Both in vivo and in vitro experiments can be set up with any number of treatments and individual or combined comet and micronucleus assays.
You can create templates from past studies or experiments, so if you frequently use a particular study design, or want to perform a repeat of an experiment, you don't have to re-enter any setup information, saving you time and preventing transcription errors.
The system lists, organises, codes and decodes all your experimental items, making it easy to review group information, slides and even individual slide spots where multispot slides are used.
The Cyto Study Manager can be used to manage batches of test items or control substances. Every chemical used in every study can be traced back to the specific batch used.
Observation is key to good science, and within the Cyto Study Manager there is ample room to annotate your study, experiment, test items, treatment groups, slides and more with your specific observations. There are pre-defined observation fields and customisable fields for your exact observational requirements. These observations can be included in your reports, or viewed within the system when validating or reviewing the studies at a later date.
Study templates allow you to copy previous study designs so you don't need to worry about re-configuring, re-typing or re-entering setup information. For example, information such as how many doses you are using, how many experimental groups, how many controls, or how many samples you are taking from each group, can all be saved as a template and used as the basis of future studies.
